Ultimate iJustine fan

I might have to stop the incoming Twitters from Justine. She got a box today and it looked like a large treat. She held the viewers in a long state of anticipation and let everyone wonder what it could be. Everyone wanted to know what was in Justine’s box.

Well Justine didn’t make everyone wait too long before letting it be known that she got a new chair and it came in a box fit for a refrigerator. Well, the chair came all put together which made the assembly easy on Justine. We cant have our internet celebrity breaking a nail.

After showing off the new chair, Justine explained that the box was so large that she was going to clim into it like it was some sort of portal into another dimension. No Justine this is not “The Lion the witch and the chair box” Lol.

She says she is going to sleep in the box tonight. That will be fun to see. Knowing her, she will. Not for the viewers, just because she is just wacky like that.

Justine Ezarik was recently featured in the Los Angeles Times along with Justin Kan discussing the rise of lifecasting popularity. Though some experts are still skeptical, I think you and I can both agree that the JTV phenomenon has grown ten-fold over just the past 6 months. I like to think this is due to iJustine, but I am biased.

With her model good looks, technical savvy and creative streak, Ezarik is fielding interest from New York and Hollywood.

As news continues to spread of internet reality shows like the onces you can find on justin.tv there is sure to be a tipping point where we will see some type of TV show or movie made about the new medium.

Lifecasting comes naturally to today’s youths, who are used to living their lives in public, posting details of every hookup and breakup on their Facebook or MySpace pages. Anyone with a laptop, webcam and Internet connection can do it.

Justine recently made a comment about having a bad experience at JFK airport for her trip to California. She didnt go into any details other than that, but we have the scoop. Looks like Justine Ezariks camera caught the story and I want to share the link for everyone that wants to hear about how Justine was followed by detectives from Pittsburgh all the way to the airport, removed from the plane and almost got arrested for streaming her life. What’s even scarier is that one of the detectives told her a story about a lady a week earlier that was video taping herself strap an inert explosive to her chest at the airport.

She had already boarded the plane and was asked to get off and was placed in a room and interrogated about the camera, the stream and her intentions.

Best news is that now the detectives are the newest fans of JTV. Hello law enforcement!

I dropped into the iJTV chat for a bit to see if Justine was online yet at the Podcast event in Southern California. She was not available, but Loppy from the chat shared a link of some recent news that was published about our favorite internet celebrity.

Even though Justine has not been streaming 24/7, her fans are still supporting her and I think that the idea of some personal time for herself is a good thing and absence makes the heart grow fonder. When Justine is lifecasting people are more likly to view since it is more of a special occasion than anything else.

I have copied the article into this post and I think that the fans should email the reported that wrote the article with a couple sentences of appreciation writing the article about Justine.

“A friend of mine was in Spain and opened up a newspaper, a Spanish version: the iPhone bill with my picture on it,” said Ezarik, 23, a Scenery Hill native who is the current “It girl” on the Web.

The digital world took notice of Ezarik, who uses the screen name ijustine, in a big way in August. The short film about the bill was subsequently viewed more than 3 million times in 10 days and earned her $5,000 in ad revenues from her online host.

Ever heard of “lifecasting“? Neither had I. Okay, true confessions time…when I discovered this emerging phenomenon a couple of weeks ago I spent over an hour watching iJustine , a 24/7 streaming vlog (video weblog) chronicling the life and times of Justine Ezarik, along with an accompanying chat room for all her viewers to simultaneously chat live together while watching her go through life. Truth be told, that hour amounted to a whole lot of watching her do exactly what her entire audience was doing at the time–sitting in front of her computer. Apparently, it’s more fun to watch someone else sitting at their computer.In the tradition of The Truman Show and EDtv, Justine is one of the many emerging self-made movie stars on justin.tv. There is a variety of lifecasters who have decided to broadcast their lives for the watching world, including a pastor from Iowa (You can see his vlog, “AhhyeahforChrist” here.) And this phenomenon had me thinking: Why would people (myself included for that brief period of “research” time) sit for hours watching someone do nothing but live a typically normal life.

In the end, though, her Pied Piperesque appeal is evident in the mysterious genius of her lifecasting adventure. If you watch the chatroom for even a little while, it is interesting to see how much power she holds over those who are seduced by the mundane.
