I really want to thank Sarah Meyers for letting me know about this. I am really excited that most of you have gone and voted for iJustine as well. She now has 3165 votes at the time of this post. When I was told about Wired’s Sexiest Geek iJustine only had about 1700 votes and that number has gone up by another 1431.

iJustine is in the top 3

Thanks to all the votes from the fans and with some help from the Fake Steve Jobs iJustine has made it to the top 3. With a few hundred more votes she can make it to the top 2. Honestly iJustine is #1 all the time and I don’t need a poll to tell me that.

It’s amazing that the fans have banded together to get the votes up as high as they have. Great work! If you have not had a chance tovote, GO HERE and get your vote counted.

Year in review

Justine had a busy year with her travels all over from coast to coast attending conventions for podcasting, xTrain events and every other web2.0 gathering that came around. Even with all of that Justine was able to put out some hilarious videos on Revver and Viddler and who can forget the viral hit of the iPhone bill in a box. Justine got an iTattoo of the Apple logo and no one knows for sure if it’s legit or was some fancy work with a sharpie.

It’s hard to think that the fan site has only been up for 6 months and has got great feedback from a lot of the other iJustine fans. Even Steve Jobs gave some credit to the fansite. I only think it’s a matter of time before Justine and the Real Steve meet IRL. This may be the year!

Coming in 2008

I plan on doing some fun things with the fan site this year. More contests, more interaction and yes more posts. I initially wanted to run the fan with more of a sarcastic tone. The title “What Would iJustine Do” was really going to be the basis for most of the posts. I may get a few of these in from time to time but I think that most of the fans want a more serious tone to the site. Am I correct in thinking this?

When I got the “What Would iJustine Do” domain, I also got a couple other domains. (I am a domain name junkie) I was having both of those domains pointed directly to the fan site and have decided to break them apart and make separate pages out of each of them. You may have already experianced this if you typically go here or here. I’m not completely sure how each of these additional sites will turn out but I plan on making them unique.

Happy New Year

Thanks again for all the support and lets make 2008 a great year!

Around the world with iJustine

justine ezarikI have been at a loss for content for the blog, so I may change up the format a bit in the coming weeks.

Justine has been all over since the last post. The Podcamp AZ event went well as you can tell from her blog post.

From Arizona Justine headed to SF for some time with the JTV crew and she met up with Karen from Jumpcut and Mager.

According to Justine’s blog there are some new treats coming to ijustine.tv. I went over to take a peek and saw that there was a new page up with an access key needed. I put in a request for a login so once I have a chance to look, I’ll let you know what thats all about. Does anyone have a clue?

I almost laughed so hard that my neighbors could hear when I saw this post. I understand that the Hollywood writers are on strike, but you would think the prop people and the actors would know the damn phone was upside down! I know you’re an actor but that doesn’t excuse retardation. Use the phone correctly! Did you think we wouldn’t notice Bionic Woman director?

Justine was mentioned in a few other blogs over the week. Jim Goldstein was at an event and met the Fake Steve Jobs and crossed paths with Justine. ShockQueen went YouTube crazy with Justine on her blog.

We don’t need to be told twice that Justine was names as one of the Most Beautiful Women in technology by The Second Press.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for the blog. As I get news on Justine I will post it.

This is my new favorite PODCAMP AZ Photoshop. BTW. Who won the contest?

iJustine fan site notes

http://whatwouldijustinedo.com/pics/sept/istats.JPGI don’t know where to start. The site has a very regular visit rate that has grown a lot since it was launched in July with this first post. Starting off with 10 initial visitors, the site has had a regular stream of about 200-300 a day for the past couple months. I have Google analytics on the site to track these things as well as show me where the visits are coming from around the world. All over North America the site seems to be a hit and we have people from as far away as Russia and Australia [Dj Steen] as well.

Something happened though when The Fake Steve Jobs posted a link to the hysterical Justine video from Revver though. A simple link to the iJustine fan site increased viewership to over 4,500 in a day and it made my chart look scary. The visits definatley peaked and dropped off, but that shows the power of the internet and the site has averaged a higher viewership since.

So I want to thank the new visitors and all of the loyal ones for making this site as popular as it has become. I would like to find a way to show my appreciation and I’m actively thinking of a way to make that happen. Until then, I would like to extend an open invitation to any of the fans a link on the blog roll to help drive some traffic to your sites and I will be adding some new features to the site that will make this more interactive for you soon.

I did not know what would become of this site. Initially I was thinking this would be a fad that would run out after a few weeks and I’d only be out the cost of a domain from GoDaddy and some time, but I have made the decision to continue this blog as long as I possibly can and since I don’t plan on on going anywhere without the internet anytime soon, I will keep the updates on Justine for a long time. If you haven’t already done so and you like the site, add this to your RSS reader by clicking the RSS logo in the upper right corner of the page.
