Ultimate iJustine fan

Having a memorable avatar on Twitter makes all the difference in the world. A custom avatar or image can make you easily identifiable and set you apart from the others. Not surprising that iJustine was the first Twitter user to have an animated avatar. I guess the debate could be made if she was really the first, but this is my blog so I say iJustine was the originator of this fad.

It didn’t take long for the internet to take notice. almost immediately, iJustine was getting questions about how she did it. Some people didn’t like it and asked her to change it back, she didn’t listen. Once again, iJustine found a unique way to stand out from the crowd and get people talking about her. Sure, it would be more entertaining to have a video leaked of iJustine drunk and stumbling down the streets of L.A. but she leaves that to the standard celebrity.

Not only was she the first Twitter user to sport an animated avatar, she seems to be the only one able to pull this magical feat off. It took a couple days but the Twitterverse caught on to the trick and now there are animated Twitter avatars popping up all over.

Best part about all of this is that when someone uploads an animated avatar, they are calling it “Pulling an iJustine.” Awesome!

So many people took notice that even MTV decided to “Pull an iJustine”.
